DESCRIPTION:Our veterans have served our country with pride\, and AARP Ohio is proud to host our Caring for Veterans and Their Caregivers information and resource fair with the Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare System. We want to ensure that veterans and their caregivers have access to resources that help them live healthy lives. \nAARP Ohio and the VA are hosting a free resource fair for veterans of any age\, their family members\, and caregivers.\nSaturday\, November 9 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. \nTri-C Corporate College East\nCollege Center Bldg. | 4400 Richmond Road | Warrensville Hts.\, OH 44128\n9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Resource Fair on caregiving resources from the VA\, AARP Ohio\, and community organizations. \n11 a.m.: AARP Caregiving Advocates from AARP and the Cleveland VA’s Caregiver Support Program will discuss caring for veterans\, resources that can be accessed within the VA\, and answer your questions. \n12 p.m.: Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony\, honoring the service of all Vietnam era veterans in attendance. \nThe event is free and includes a continental breakfast and lunch for attendees who have registered.  \n

SUMMARY:Fourth Annual National Caregiving Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Annual National Caregiving Conference will take place November 7 through 10 at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare\, 8535 W. Higgins\, and will bring together those who currently care for a family member and those who previously cared for a family member. In addition\, professionals who work with family caregivers and those interested in family caregiver issues will join us. “It was an amazing experience to connect with warm\, compassionate caregivers and to hear their stories\,” says an attendee of our Third Annual National Caregiving Conference. “It was unlike any conference I have ever attended.” \nOur conference is about what caregiving is like for us. The majority of our sessions and panel discussions will be led by current and former family caregivers. We will gather to talk honestly about our experiences and to share solutions and ideas to make it better. An attendee to our third conference described her experience this way: “I felt welcomed! Appreciated! Most exhausting week/weekend that I loved!!
